Improved Access to Healthcare
The villagers have no access to health services within the village.  Basic first aid supplies and medicines are not available.  There are no trained health care providers within the village, and the closest small clinic being found after a 45 minute boat ride.  More serious health concerns necessitate a 2.5 hour boat ride to the city of Leticia.  The cost of this transportation is prohibitive for most villagers.

The village would benefit from a small clinic being built and stock with basic supplies.  Furthermore, interested and competent villagers could be trained to administer basic first aid and to identify when to seek a higher standard of care.

Having periodic visits from volunteer health care professionals could provide further health education and preventative medicine.
